aura beauty is located in Northwest Indiana, about 35 miles outside of downtown Chicago in the town of Schererville. Salon mentor & owner, Lauren Phillips, had always dreamt of creating a space where like-minded industry professionals could not only create magic behind the chair, but learn & grow alongside one another without limitations. An uplifting space where every service provider is treated as an individual; making it possible to achieve their individual career goals, while allowing their technical & creative style to shine through in their work. After 10 years behind the chair and having two assistants work alongside her, Lauren’s goal quickly became to better the lives & careers of other stylists. With the right mentor, salon culture, and the proper mindset anything is possible! aura beauty was born in the spring of 2019, and after a long build-out process, finally opened its doors in January 2020. aura is a salon that combines the best of both worlds, where freelance meets commission. Our mission is to always provide an exceptional experience, quality work, and the promise to stay current on the latest industry trends & standards.
